Pricing

Price per treatment is $50. The Initial Consultation is an extra $25.

We do not currently accept insurance billing. Many do not have health insurance which covers acupuncture or herbal medicine. If we were to accept insurance we would have to raise our prices in order to cover the added expense of dealing with insurance. We feel that it is more important to keep treatment more affordable for everyone. It is this policy that allows us to charge such a low rate per treatment.

However, for those patients who are eligible for payment reimbursement, we will provide a payment receipt which can be submitted for to your coverage provider. We also offer simple cash receipts, on request, for your own records as well.

We accept payment in cash, check and credit card.

Cost for medical record request: $0.75 per page, plus postage if mailing is requested.

Clinic Hours

Common Questions

Are the needles clean?

At Peaceful Water Acupuncture, we only use single use, disposable, sterile needles. This means that the needle is sealed in its packaging from the factory until right before it is used in your treatment.

Is it painful?

Most patients feel little to no discomfort with the needles, but from time to time patients describe a sensation of pain no stronger than a mosquito bite. There are times, however, where due to the nature of the patient's condition they may feel a stronger pain when the needles are stimulated which quickly disperses after the stimulation is stopped.

How many treatments will I need?

Usually, disorders in the body which we suffer from develop over a period of time. Sometimes this is a few hours, other times it is over a few years. Normally, a series of treatments is recommended to resolve a condition. Each case and condition is different, but we recommend that patients try for 3-4 treatments before deciding if they are making improvements. There are times where the disorder will become better little by little with each treatment, and there are also times when the patient will feel an immediate relief which only lasts temporarily.

Should I consult with my physician regarding getting acupuncture?

It is advisable to always inform your physician about any treatment that you are seeking and it is also very important to have a list of medications and supplements that you are taking available during your first consultation. In the modern clinic, we view acupuncture as complimentary medicine that is not intended to take the place of your primary care Physician. If you are seeking help for a condition about which you have not consulted with a licensed physician, we strongly suggest that you also schedule a consultation with a physician as well.
